The Science Department is looking to purchase 8 Carolina Hot Plates from Carolina Biological. Pingree hosts 2 sections of Accelerated Biology, 1 section of AP Biology and 5 sections of regular Biology. Many biology labs require the use of hot plates. The Science Department currently has a single set of hot plates that they share between the 4 biology teachers and the 8 sections of Biology. Most of the department's current set of hot plates have missing knobs and frayed electrical cords. Approximately 120+ Biology students (all levels) would benefit from this addition including the teachers who teach these courses.
