The Language Department would like to invite a group of people, 5-7 people, to come in to do a demonstration and hands-on workshop, so students would be able to participate interactively. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for everyone in school to know more about different Chinese traditional arts and crafts and also have chances to experience them in the workshop. The time of the demonstration and workshop would be around 3 hours and all students are invited to join during their breaks and/or free periods. They would talk about how Chinese arts and crafts are developed and why they use those particular materials and, of course, they would teach students how to do. The possible/proposed activities are Peking Opera, the Lion Dance, Chinese Dough Figurine, and Art of Straws. This would be fun and educational!
