This print is called "Golden Pear". It features a quartet of pairs in a row. It was created by Jen Groeber, Pingree's First Lady. Jennifer Groeber is a painter and printmaker focusing on the relationships we nurture within our lives as sister, mother, daughter, parent and friend. Like an archaeologist with a gouge and a block of wood, she searches for evidence of how circumstances and events in our lives influence our actions, and eventually, form who we become. She is married to Tim Johnson, Pingree Head of School, and they have four young children. Groeber occasionally teaches as part of Pingree's auxiliary programs. She has shown her work in juried, group and solo shows throughout the United States. Jen received her BA from Yale University and a MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art.
