Zagat review about Buck's:  It’s a “pleasant surprise” to find this “deliberately informal” Van Ness American rolling out dishes that “would make it anywhere”, including its signature wood-grilled steak and “delightful” seasonal vegetable dishes; literally campy decor (e.g. a canoe hanging from the rafters) and a wood-lined, firelit setting enhance the overall “fun experience.”

Buck's is also on Zagat's DC's Best Restaurant Architecture list and was reviewed by Tom Sietsema of the Washington Post for their 10 year anniversary.
