Description
Winning bidder will receive one week (5 days) of camp from the Brookline Tennis Academy. This donation is for new campers only and is good for half day camp, from 9 am-noon. It can be used any week between June 9 to August 29. This can also be used toward the all day camp with the winning bidder paying the difference in value between the half day and full day price ($170).
About the Program:
The Brookline Junior Tennis Academy is a comprehensive tennis program for children ages 4 - 16 that offers the finest facilities, staff and UNIQUE TEACHING METHODOLOGY that incorporates a progressions teaching format geared to an individual?s ability, skill building and stroke development, and most importantly, FUN! All our programs focus on important values ¿

Children are introduced to tennis in a PROGRESSIONS FORMAT geared to their athletic development as they grow and learn. The progressions are based on the child's age and ability, and each progression includes skill objectives that correspond with prior instruction and activities.
Our main objective is to provide a group atmosphere that focuses on positive learning, developing a healthy life-style by learning to play a life-long sport, camaraderie, and of course, having FUN!. We attempt to develop both the physical and mental health of our campers through activities that encourage teamwork, concentration, and discipline.
Children will be placed into age and skill appropriate groups on the first day of camp, with a 5/6:1 student ratio.

8:00 a.m. Early Drop - $70/week
4:30 p.m. Extended Day - $100/week
METHODOLOGY!
Situated on one of New England's most beautiful campuses, Pine Manor College is situated on 60 wooded acres where buildings of a former estate blend architecturally with state-of-the-art facilities. Within these 60 wooded acres is the new tennis complex, 6 Deco Turf Tennis Courts, lighting for evening play and endless parking. This surface is the top choice of touring professionals and is used at the US Open and other tournament sites. The campus also has 2 Platform Tennis (Paddle) Courts with lights for evening play, located behind the Pine Manor Gym. See you on the courts!
Shelly Mars, Director
Staff:
The staff features Director Shelly Mars, former Director of the Brookline Recreation Tennis Program. Shelly is USPTA certified and runs the Newton after school programs. Both Shelly and Rodrigo played top-level Division III Collegiate Varsity Tennis.
Rodrigo Mendez, Head Pro, USPTR Level 1, is one of the most dedicated, responsible and motivating teaching professionals in the NE area. He brings 20 years of experience instructing players of all ages and different abilities. Coaching experience also includes 2 years of NCAA Varsity Men's and Women's tennis teams for Suffolk University.
Mariano Severgnini, USPTA (pro) was born and raised in Argentina. As a junior, he competed in regional, state and national level tournaments, which led to a number three national ranking. Mariano has been teaching tennis for almost 20 years and has worked for the Brookline Tennis Academy for the past 7 years.

All winning bidders will be charged a transaction fee of 5%, not to exceed $20 per item, to cover a portion of the auction transaction fees. We thank you for helping with this and supporting the school.
