Rock and Roll 5-Day Camps FAQ’s

  • What time does camp start and end? Camp runs from 9am-3pm, with the option of early drop-off and late pick-up at no extra charge.

  • What happens on a typical day at camp? Private and small group lessons, as well as seminars and clinics for students in the mornings, and in the afternoons, campers rehearse in bands of 5-7 students. On Thursday, students go into the recording studio to produce a CD of the songs you'll have been working on all week. Friday, we rehearse in the morning and put on a show in the afternoon!

  • What should students bring? We have drums, keyboards, and amps here, so no need to bring those. Drummers should bring drumsticks, guitarists should bring their guitars, bassists should bring their bass guitars, and keyboardists and singers just need to show up. It is recommended to bring a notebook also.

  • What's the story with lunch? Two options - Students can bring a lunch, or bring money each day to order a sandwich & chips from Lilly’s Bakery with the help of our camp staff. Students get 45 minutes for lunch, but they are required to remain at the school.

  • When is the performance? The performance happens on the last day of camp, Friday, at 1pm.

  • Where is the performance? The School of Rock rehearsal room will be transformed into an awesome performance space with stage lighting and seats for all your friends and family! Boston School of Rock, 120 Elm St. Watertown, MA 02472

  • Is the performance open to the public? Yes, and it's FREE admission! Students should invite friends and family to the final show.

  • Can a student take a lesson on a different instrument just to try it out? Absolutely! We encourage our students to try out different instruments if they would like to.

  • Where can I find more information about the instructors at The School of Rock? Visit Boston.SchoolofRock.com, scroll down to the “STAFF” section, and select “View All”.

  • Who do I talk to if I have any further questions or concerns? Email us at Boston@schoolofrock.com or call 617-923-3434.
