As their contribution to this year’s auction, Mrs. Castillo’s third graders made dragonflies out of clothespins, wire, and tissue paper. Their flight of dragonflies then alighted onto a branch of driftwood. The project is a lovely sculpture that can be mounted vertically or horizontally on a wall, or hung in the corner between the wall and ceiling. All the dragonflies are coated with clearvarnish to ensure that their tissue paper wings last for years.
