The wine itself is ripe with blackberry aromas and accents of spicy-cedar oak on the nose lead to a smooth palate with hints of licorice, finishing with a delicate balance of tannins complimenting the sweet finish.  While this recent release is not yet rated, previous vintages have concisely scored 90+ points.
