Since 1979, Ballet Academy East has been a vibrant center for dance on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In 1978, Julia Dubno, the founder and director of Ballet Academy East was selected by Christine Fokine to run the Fokine Ballet School. That experience led to the opening of Ballet Academy East in a brownstone on East 79th Street with one small studio in 1979.
Today the school has five spacious studios, a world-renowned faculty and continues to flourish. Miss Dubno continues to manage the day-to-day operations and is in close contact with the faculty and staff in order to be kept abreast of all areas of the school.

Note: Only items such as gift certificates that fit in a standard envelope can be mailed if you are unable to pick up. You must notify us by Tuesday, March 15, 2016 by emailing gala@sprucestreetpta.org if you would like your item(s) mailed to you. There is a $1.00 shipping and handling fee for mailed items. Items will be mailed after scheduled pick up days. Pick up dates and times will be announced soon and will be the week after our event on March 12, 2016. Pick up location is at Spruce Street School (PS 397), 12 Spruce Street, NYC 10038. We are not responsible for items if you do not pick up during allotted pick up times and if no mailing arranged.
