Description
Barbalu is the marriage (literally) of husband and wife team Stefano BARBAgallo and Adriana LUque. Their new Italian restaurant is now open just a stones throw from the historic South Street Seaport. The couple prove their continued commitment to this historic district with the decision to rebuild in the same location as their old restaurant Barbarini, which was completely destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.
While the decor is minimalist, the atmosphere still manages to feel warm. In-house-made items are consistently the highlights — from the vegetable all’ortolana (a hearty, tomato-based sauce made with diced vegetables) on the rigatoni to the rich and meaty Bolognese served atop a bed of fettuccine.

Items will be mailed after scheduled pick up days. Pick up dates and times will be announced soon and will be the week after our event on March 12, 2016. Pick up location is at Spruce Street School (PS 397), 12 Spruce Street, NYC 10038. We are not responsible for items if you do not pick up during allotted pick up times and if no mailing arranged.
