About Foundrae: Foundrae was named for Beth Bugdaycay’s fascination with found objects and Rae, her grandmother's middle name, was chosen in her honor. Her grandmother, a resident of Kentucky, is an American artisan who utilizes found vintage materials in her craft. Beth Bugdaycay’s creative process is to breathe new life in the found materials by pulling them apart to a more distilled, modern version and re-fabricating in luxury materials and 18 kt gold. The result is Foundrae; chic, effortless, free-spirited and individualistic style. Bugdaycay debuted her ready-to-wear collection for Fall 2015, offering fashion that captures a sense of chic, effortless, and free-spirited style. Foundrae fine jewelry was launched for Spring 2016. Both collections demonstrate Bugdaycay’s unexpected use of color as a punctuation mark, fascination with found objects and an aesthetic that elevates traditional craftsmanship with a kinship to the ideals and style of the American Arts & Crafts movement that flourished between1880 to 1910. The fine jewelry collection also incorporates iconic motifs with references to spiritual and mystical ideology. FoundRae’s collection, apparel ranging at retail from $325 to $1595 and fine jewelry between $295 to $4500, has been well-received by high end retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom as well as specialty boutiques. Foundrae is ultimately a collection that celebrates individualistic style with timeless appeal and offers styles that encourage self-expression for women who appreciate both fashion and function.
