Maia Cruz Palileo is a multi-disciplinary artist. Migration and the permeable concept of home are constant themes in her paintings, installations, drawings, and animations. Influenced by oral history of her family’s arrival in America from the Philippines and growing up in the Midwest, Maia infuses these narratives with memory and imagination. When stories and memories are subjected to time and constant retelling, the narratives become questionable, bordering the line between fact and fiction while remaining cloaked in the convincingly familiar.
Maia is a recipient of the Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Grant, Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Award, and Astraea Visual Arts Fund Award. She received an MFA in sculpture from Brooklyn College, City University of New York, and BA in Studio Art at Mount Holyoke College. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Pick up location is at Spruce Street School (PS 397), 12 Spruce Street, NYC 10038. We are not responsible for items if you do not pick up during allotted pick up times and if no mailing arranged. Perfume containing alcohol may not be shipped internationally or mailed domestically using air transportation. Perfume containing alcohol, however, may be shipped within the United States by ground transportation.
