Petit Crenn is a delightful new Hayes Valley restaurant that pays homage to the mother and grandmother of Dominique Crenn, as well as her roots in Brittany, France. Crenn, who was the first female chef in the US to earn two Michelin stars with her flagship Atelier Crenn, focuses on fresh seafood and vegetables for Petit Crenn's charming, pristinely white dining room. The menu is a five-course prix fixe, with salad and cheese served after the entree.
SF Chronicle's food critic Michael Bauer wrote of Petit Crenn: "As Crenn greets diners and talks about her inspirations, there’s a nostalgic lilt in her voice that drives home the idea that this is food that touches her soul. It also touches mine."
