Enjoy a night out with Timeline Theatre Company with these tickets! TimeLine Theatre Company presents stories inspired by history that connect with today's social and political issues. Their remaining 2015-16 season includes: 

• Spill written and directed by Leigh Fondakowski, October 20 - December 19, 2015. This can’t-miss theatrical event goes beyond the headlines to tell vivid personal stories from all sides of the country’s greatest environmental disaster. On April 20, 2010, the BP-owned oil rig Deepwater Horizon exploded, killing 11 and sending millions of barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. Crafted from hundreds of interviews with those closest to the event and its aftermath, this moving and deeply compelling play explores where we are as a society and illustrates the various human and environmental costs of oil.    

• Sunset Baby by Dominique Morisseau, directed by Ron OJ Parson, January 21 - April 10, 2106. The personal and the political collide in this powerful and timely drama—already a hit in New York and London—from one of the country’s most exciting playwrights (“[she] knows the code for getting under our skins” raves The New York Times). A tough, independent woman in Brooklyn is visited by her father, a former revolutionary in the Black Power movement who seeks to mend their broken relationship. As father and daughter circle one another, old wounds are revealed, generational differences exposed, and blazing truths laid bare.

• Chimerica by Lucy Kirkwood, directed by Nick Bowling, May 12 - July 31, 2016. Don’t miss Chicago’s first look at one of the most acclaimed plays to hit London since The History Boys. In June 1989, as the Chinese government cracked down on a pro-democracy rally in Tiananmen Square, the iconic image of one man standing alone in front of a military tank captivated the world. Twenty years later, a photojournalist searches for the truth about that mysterious “Tank Man” in an epic, global adventure that explores the complex relationship between twin superpowers China and the United States.
