Description
Come stay at a historic ranch in Concho County, Texas and bring your shotguns for a Guided Spring Turkey Hunt.
Stay in the two bedroom,1 ½ bath guest house. There is an additional one bedroom guest house available for friends and/or family (only one hunter in the group) Non-hunters (especially El Cids) are negotiable.
Meals and cocktails provided.
Guided hunt is for 1 person but up to 3 additional people can stay at the house. The donors can accommodate a two or three night stay, depending on when you arrive/depart. The season opens first Sat of April each year so 1 April in 2017; early season hunting is generally the best. The ranch is 900 acres and the turkeys are Rio Grandes.
Special Instructions
Located 10 miles west of Paint Rock and its Indian Pictographs, 18 miles southwest of Ballinger and 23 miles east of San Angelo and restored Ft. Concho.
Nearby restaurants include Lowake Steak House (7 miles) and numerous places in San Angelo and Ballinger.
Travel:
San Angelo is the closest airport. It has only one airline servicing it with limited flights which all come through Dallas—American Eagle. Donor will pick you up from the airport that is about 40 minutes from the ranch.
If you fly into San Antonio or Austin either on Delta or Southwest. Both airports are about a 3 hour drive from the ranch. You would have to rent a car. Directions upon request.
Highly recommend scheduling hunt the first or second weekend of April. Apply for out of state license and turkey stamp at www.tpwd.texas.gov
