You and your friends will enjoy an evening's informal concert of Early Music (this is music of the renaissance, prior to Bach) provided by BJ Member and renowned musician, Judith Davidoff Rosen.

Judith will come to your home (Manhattan only, please) and entertain your guests with a one hour concert of her playing the Viola da Gamba.

Once beloved by Europe’s musicians, audiences and composers, the viol (viola da gamba) is enjoying a rebirth. Hundreds of fans are studying, teaching and performing the viol’s rich repertoire. Concert managers are booking viol players, instrument makers are again creating beautiful viols, and composers are writing new music for viol soloists and ensembles.
Led by Judith Davidoff, one of the pioneers of the rebirth of this beautiful instrument, will present an hour of music and commentary, followed by “mini” lessons for those interested. Everyone will be given a cd featuring the viol.
