Description

One bottle of 2009 Soliste Cellars Sonatera Vineyard T Block Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, USA

"The Sonatera Vineyard is located near Sebastopol on the Sonoma coast. This Monoclone, Dijon 777, was harvested at midnight and field sorted. It was aged 11 months in 100% French Oak (25% new). The nose is very elegant with lovely aromas of strawberry and black cherries followed by green bean, earthiness, dusty minerals, cut grass, and exotic spices. This displays wonderful depth, power and elegance across the palate, which is layered with dark fruits, sour cherry and gorgeous minerality. The finish is long and leaves you wanting more. Drink it now or cellar it for 10-15 years. (Best 2015-2028)" - International Wine Report -

Four bottles of 2009 Soliste Cellars Sonatera Vineyard L’Esperance Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, USA

"Moderately light reddish-purple color in the glass. Wonderful aromatic presence with scents of black cherry, spice, and sous-bois. The nose really picks up intensity and interest over time in the glass. Enticing flavors of black cherry, spiced plum and black raspberry with an earthy, savory undertone. Very silky in the mouth with comforting elegance, a soft tannic backbone, and some finishing persistence. Better the following day from a previously opened and recorked bottle and still solid two days later. This wine will benefit from further cellaring but is hard to resist now. - Pinot Report
