Description
Item description: Selection of four domestic wines with a range of characteristics to explore.
- 2012 Ranch 32 Pinot Noir (Monterey) (valued at $20). With a core of vivid black cherry and hints of rose petal, this wine has a silky texture that leads into a long, layered finish. Donated by the Hoffman/Lindes Family.
- 2013 Coturri Red Table Wine (Cuvee Mer Cha Cha, Co-Ferment, Sonoma Valley) (valued at $32). A mix of 70% Merlot and 30% Chardonnay organic grapes ferment for 7 days in harmony, followed by 7 months in neutral oak. No sulfur is used in the process of making this wine. You know you want to give this one a try. Donated by the Kozak/Donald Family.
- 2013 Joel Gott Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley) (valued at $25). This Pinot Noir has aromatics of ripe cherries, red plum and raspberries with hints of tobacco and vanilla spice. The wine opens with lush fruit flavors leading to a juicy mid-palate and long, elegant finish. Donated by the Murdin Family.
- 2009 Coppola Rose Sofia (North Coast) (valued at $15). The wine displays a beautiful perfume of wild strawberries, tea leaves and violets. Luscious flavors of raspberries, cherries, candied orange and cloves enliven the palate, making this vintage richly fruited yet graceful and lightly textured. Donated by the Ng Family.
