Nickel & Nickel was founded by the partners of Far Niente with a mission to focus exclusively on producing 100% varietal, single vineyard wines. Quicksilver Vineyard is planted along Bella Oaks Lane in Rutherford, in the heart of the western benchland. Named after the area's historical quicksilver mines, the vineyard provides the ideal, well-drained loam soils in which Cabernet Sauvignon thrives. This wine displays plush and ripe black cherry fruit notes, which are complemented by underlying hints of classic "Rutherford Dust."
