Dinners in the Dark at Camaje are multi-course meals eaten while blindfolded. Without sight, diners' other senses are heightened. Smells, textures and sounds all become more intense. Arrive at the door, don a blindfold and let Camaje take you on an unforgettable ride!
History
Chef-Owner Abigail Hitchcock dined at Camaje when it opened in 1997 and was impressed by the menu at the tiny bistro on a quiet block of MacDougal Street in the heart of Greenwich Village. Little did she know that a year later, her offer to “help on the weekends” would translate into running the show. She transformed the restaurant into the cozy spot it is today.
Food
Camaje Bistro uses seasonal, local and organic (where possible) ingredients. Chef Abby’s menu is French-American but she also includes her love of the exotic to add some surprises. “Simplest is best” are words Abby lives by. There’s no need to overcomplicate good ingredients. As a sommelier, she chooses wines from France and America to complement her menu. All desserts, including the ice cream, are house-made.

Winning items can be picked up at P.S. 3 Charrette School, 490 Hudson St, NYC 10014 (between Christopher & Grove Streets). If you are unable to pick up your item (including gift certificates) at P.S. 3, you are responsible for additional shipping charges via FedEx.
