This unique comic book is a collaboration between two class - G5 Red and G2 Room 12, available now in soft cover!

 

Step 1: G5 studied the structure of a fairy tale reading lots of them (Charles Perrault, Grimm brothers, "Pull of the Ocean" a modern fairytale written by Jean-Claude Mourlevat).

Step 2: G5 gave a grid to G2 from Jocelyne's classroom in order to ask them to choose characters, places, issue of the fairy tale G5 has to write.

Step 3: G2 presented in G5red classroom their work and G5 chose a story. Then they worked by groups (1G2/1G5) to write the first draft of the story.

Step 4: G5 drew the pics of the fairy tale comic just in white and black.

Step 5: G2 colored them

Step 6: G5 scanned and used the pics on Comic Life 3 to finalize the Fairy tale comic and inserted cartoon bubbles with texts.

 

Goals:

Learning:

- Understand structure of a fairy tale.

- Transfer this structure to comic requirements.

- Create a story using at least 8 thumbnails.

- Use Comic Life 3 on Ipads.

 

Social:

- Work in tutoring with younger children.

- Present a work/Read a story to other pupils.
