Inspiration:

This year’s Maple Room class project channels Maria Montessori and her tireless effort for peace through education.  Having lived through two world wars, Dr. Montessori was a strong peace advocate and fully understood the connection between peace and the way we educate our younger generations. In the photo each child is represented either making a peace sign to form a star or holding letters.

How it was made:

The materials used include a foam board and wooden letters.  The children's photos were taken in groups which were sent to a graphic artist to combine them into a single image. It is represented on a 24’X36’ infused aluminum print.
