The Chicago Tribune is offering a unique tour of the inside of Freedom Center, a large printing and inserting facility along the Chicago River. Built in 1982, the campus houses 10 presses, a newsprint warehouse, a state-of-the-art press plate room and multiple inserting machines. This two-hour tour will include a look at the printing presses, press plates and enormous paper rolls that go into making the Chicago Tribune every day, and will give attendees a taste of this newspaper's long history.
Winner recieves two passes, includes free parking.
Special Instructions
- Attendees are required to wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared for a healthy dose of walking, including some stairs.
- Attendees receive a complimentary aluminum Chicago Sports press plate
