Description
McDonalds' memorabilia is always sought after! These 4 highly collectible glasses are almost 40 years old but were kept in perfect, pristine condition by the original owner. They feature a smoky glass tumbler base for the beautifully stylized Hawaiian themed artwork: Double outrigger canoe scene; surfing scene: canoe paddling scene and throw-net fishing scene. Glasses measure 4" tall and 3" across and "McDonalds Hawaii" and golden arches logo is on the side of each glass.
A little on the history of collectible glassware: In the past, fast food restaurants, supermarkets and gas stations used to give out commemorative collector’s glasses as a premium with a purchase of food or drinks. They were made from actual glass, not plastic, and were illustrated with first-rate graphics. The heyday of collector’s glasses was in the 1970s and 1980s although there has been a resurgence of new glasses (and collecting) with the release of the latest Star Wars movie.
