Description

This Hawaiian quilt-style table runner is almost completely hand-stitched and made of 100% cotton fabric. It's fashioned in an ulu or breadfruit design and is a burnt pumpkin color with a white background. The ulu symbolizes prosperity. Breadfruit was one of the staple foods of the Polynesians as they crossed the Pacific. Legend traces the origin of ulu to the god Ku, who turns himself into an ulu tree during a period of starvation so that his wife and children could live on. It measures approximately 31"x16".
