This solid Milo wood poi pounder and base was lathe-turned by woodworker Steve Herbert and was finished with food-safe mineral oil and bees wax. Steve Herbert, is a local civil engineer who turns local woods on his lathe for enjoyment. The milo wood was harvested locally to create this beautiful rendering of kuiai pohaku. The piece stands approximately 9" tall including stand, signed by the maker and wrapped for gift giving.
