A little bit about the author...

I have written and/or illustrated seven books for children including "Guess What is Growing Inside This Egg" (A Minnesota Book Award finalist), "Dandelions: Stars in the Grass",  "The Long, Long Journey" and most recently "Who Was Here? Discovering Wild Animal Tracks." 

I have loved to make art as long as I can remember, taking after my mother who was also an illustrator and author. I enjoy combining my art with my interest in nature and biology. I have a Bachelor's degree in art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and have also studied art in Florence, Italy and illustration at Academy of Art College in San Francisco, California.

I live in Golden Valley, Minnesota with my husband, three children and one big dog.
