This Fund-a-Need will seed The Biskar/Kirchner Teacher Growth & Innocation Fund (TGIF), allowing us to immediately expand our robust professional development offerings into areas of strategic focus for The Brandeis School of San Francisco. These include 5 specific programmatic initiatives: 

1) Innovation and Integration in Jewish Education

Supporting teams of teachers in summer curriculum development for long-term (semester+) integrated Jewish and general studies projects.

2) Creativity, Design Thinking, and CREATE/BUILD

Expanding our program offerings in modern curricula connected to and growing out of the CREATE and BUILD spaces.

3) Social, Emotional, and Spiritual Learning

Developing our social and emotional learning programs, and connecting those programs to our work in Jewish ethics, values, and the spiritual development of children.

4) High-Ability Differentiation

Providing opportunities for our faculty to engage with best practices and new curricular approaches to support all of our learners.

5) Personal Growth and Renewal

Offering summer travel grants for longer-tenured teachers, as well as smaller grants for pursuing research topics of personal interest to bring back into the school as units of study or electives.
