Eliot Smith is currently the Athletic Director and Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Lick-Wilmerding High School. Eliot has been a coach and teacher at Lick-Wilmerding for the past 27 years and has worked camps for Coach Pat Riley of the Miami Heat and former Coach John Wooden of UCLA as well as directing camps for the Golden State Warriors. Eliot began his coaching career in 1977 as a junior in high school and he has been coaching ever since.

Coach Eliot’s strategies are not just about winning on the field of play. His philosophy of coaching has helped students achieve success in the sporting arena and in life by emphasizing the importance of priorities, self-control and belief in others. Eliot Smith has been recognized for his teaching and coaching skills on numerous occasions.
