Description
The Philadelphia Theatre Company is offering two complimentary tickets to your choice of "Sex with Strangers" or "Hillary and Clinton." PTC is a leading regional theater company committed to balancing its Philadelphia roots with a national point of view that combines a taste for adventure with a dedication to new American plays and musicals. More than 50% of PTC’s world premieres have moved on to New York and other major cities, helping to earn Philadelphia a national reputation as a hub for new play development.
Described by New York Daily News as "well-crafted, with sly wit and pitch-perfect dialogue," Sex with Strangers is a fast and sexy play that follows two writers from two different schools of thought. One traditional old-school, the other a blogger–turned book writer–turned script writer who became famous detailing his sexual exploits. Trapped overnight at a snowed-in retreat, their motivations and desires turn competitive, and uncertainty about each other starts to take over.
With sly humor and astute psychological insight, Hillary and Clinton is a provocative story about gender, power and possibilities. In this fast-paced 2008 Primary Election fantasy, playwright Lucas Hnath asks us to imagine an alternate universe, very much like our own, where a woman named Hillary is trying to become president of a country called the United States of America.
Both performances will take place at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre in Philadelphia. Don't miss out on a wonderful night of entertainment.
