Carey Kirkella has lived in the Clinton Hill area for 21 years and graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Photography in 1999.  Her work has been recognized by the Santa Fe Center for Photography, the International Photography Awards and Critical Mass.  She was included in the Noorderlicht International Photography Festival, and in the book 'Flash Forward - Emerging Photographers 2009' by The Magenta Foundation. In 2009, she received the 'Kick Award' through the international competition '10 Best 10' by WIN-Initiative and Resource magazine. In 2011, Photo District News Annual featured her Ballet series. 

Carey especially loves photographing children and families and is available for custom portrait sessions.  She lives with her husband Pete Riesett (who also has a print available in the auction) and their puppy Ollie.
