Block Print Class Compellation Self Portraits
Mr McGrath 5th grade art
Project led by Alix Juneau, Filippo Colangeli, and Mr. McGrath
Process:
Each child drew a small self portrait, then traced it onto a foam printing plate, carefully cut it out, inked it in one of 4 colors and then assistants helped position each on the acid free print paper in a large group format. You get 30 self portraits, plus the bonus portrait of Mr. McGrath, in one piece of art, all personally signed by each amazing artist.
The colors are modern but timeless in silver, black, gold and bronze, which will compliment any décor. Simply framed, this graphic, impactful, and personal interpretation of our students is a must have art piece that will make a real statement in your home.
These are one of a kind, self reflective, group portraits of your child and their classmates, who you have known all through elementary school! Your child has a very personal connection to this piece full of the hand drawn smiling faces of friends, which they can enjoy for years to come, making it an even more desirable work of art for your collection.
