Annaliese Ippolito Reed grew up in the small town of Ripon, California: the almond capital of the world. After taking violin, viola, cello and piano lessons as a child, Annie decided to focus on viola and obtained her Bachelors in music from University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA under the tutelage of Igor Veligan. During these years she attended many summer festivals including the Orfeo Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy, where she was a finalist in the Orfeo International Music Competition 2012.

Currently Ms. Reed is working towards her Masters in music and is a pupil of Dr. Josephine Liu Moerschel at California State University Long Beach Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. She was awarded the positions of principal viola in the University Symphony Orchestra and violist of the University String Quartet. Annie is also a current member of the very selective American Youth Symphony. Ms. Reed has a strong passion for music education and is working towards Suzuki teaching certification as well as managing a private studio and directing the El Segundo Seaside Strings, an after school strings program.
