About the Minneapolis Grand River Tour

The Grand River Tour is our most popular tour and one that draws many people back, year after year. It’s hard to pinpoint the popularity of this ride; it could be the charming cobblestones on Main Street, historical buildings, Father Hennepin Bluffs Park’s beautiful connection to the river.

Maybe it’s the gentle curve of the Stone Arch Bridge with the sound of the water coming over the Falls of St Anthony; or possibly the view of the Minneapolis skyline from the Stone Arch Bridge, its spectacular! It might be the tree lined West River Parkway or the mixtures of architecture from residential to commercial, old and new stand side by side.

Crossing over the Hennepin Avenue suspension bridge is historically significant in the fact that this was the site of the first permanent river crossing over the Mississippi river. Last but certainly not least is Nicollet Island, charming homes, the Nicollet Island Inn, parkland, beautiful views of the city and river.
