Enjoy an inspirational behind-the-scences tour of a marine mammal rehab facility for a special birthday or Scout trip. You and your guests will have VIP access the The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation care and rehab facilities where you will meet seals, turtles and other marine mammals who have been rescued on Long Island's beaches and taken to be cared for until they are ready to be released back into the wild. Late winter and early spring finds the facility packed with animals who need help and the volunteers and marine biologists who are taking great care of them. About two hours from Manhattan and attached to the Long Island Aquarium, this special visit is a great for a day long adventure.
Last winter, Girl Scout Troop 2832 Brownies enjoyed meeting the turtles and seals and earned their Marine Mammal badge!
Special Instructions
Visit is for up to 20 guests - children should be age 10 or older. Item certificate may be picked up the night of the gala, mailed via USPS, or picked up at Third Street Music School after after May 17 and until June 7 between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm or by appointment. Items expire a year from the auction close unless otherwise noted.
