Description
The winning bidder will enjoy 4 hours of individual lessons with faculty member, Brandon Tesh. Lessons would take place at Third Street and scheduled for mutually agreed upon dates. Lessons offered include:
- Woodwind instruction: Saxophone or clarinet
- Jazz instruction: Jazz improvisation, theory, or composition.
- Ensemble conducting: No previous experience is necessary! Beginning to intermediate
Brandon Tesh is a woodwind specialist, conductor and educator who originally hails from North Carolina. As a freelance musician, you can hear him around the city with various groups in New York’s jazz clubs, music halls, and at Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More. Recent performances include Manhattan Transfer, Natalie Cole, the Four Tops and the Temptations, the Juilliard Orchestra, and the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra.
He has presented and performed at venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Navy Saxophone Symposium, and the North American Saxophone Alliance Conferences.
Brandon received degrees at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and Michigan State University and studied with Dr. Steven Stusek, Diego Rivera, Chad Eby, and Rodney Whitaker. He serves on the instrumental music faculty as conductor at the Governor's School of North Carolina.
Special Instructions
Item certificate may be picked up the night of the Gala, mailed via USPS, or picked up at Third Street Music School after May 17 and until June 7 between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm or by appointment. Items expire a year from the auction close unless otherwise noted.
