Concept for this painting: Throughout history, artists have created busts of their community leaders. This profile of Siddhartha Elephant is about showcasing the long ears, and the wise choices we must make in order to find peace in our lives: to be present, to  be mindful, and to show gratitude towards our community. And to do so without any expectations of anything in return.  The long ears are from the Buddha, who removed his heavy earrings to strip away valuables in hopes of finding inner peace.

Below is an excerpt from the artist:

Roaming Elephant art is about expressing an idea and emotion through color and brushstroke. The idea of using an elephant comes from Ganesha and its Hindu roots. New beginnings and removing or creating obstacles. Both important concepts in my life as an artist.
The evolution of these canvases is the process of understanding that no art is good or bad, that the idea of creating comes from a space within all of us. Some like to see and elephant, and others like to see an elephant with colors and strokes that shape a mood or thought.
