Two hundred years ago when Thomas Jefferson or James Madison visited each other at home, they journeyed through this estate on a day-long carriage drive between Monticello and Montpelier.  Today, with Monticello a half hour away and Montpelier only 10 minutes, the same gracious Georgian villa they knew so well welcomes the discerning traveler again, to savor the present at the pace of the past.  Classic cottage structures, also dating from 18th and early 19th Centuries, afford the incomparable serenity of vineyard life in six elegantly renovated rooms and suites, evoking our Italian and Virginian traditions.
