Description
We've assembled a selection of wines from the years that our children at Las Lomitas and La Entrada were born, 2002-2010. Many of these can no longer be purchased in stores. Get them now while you still can! A perfect gift to save for your child when they turn 21, or a nice bottle for you to celebrate their graduation or other special event.
This item is 1 bottle of 2003 Kelham Cabernet Sauvignon.
Kelham Vineyards wines reflect the unique character of the soils and localized climate which has made Oakville one of the most acclaimed appellations in the world for Bordeaux varieties. This viticultural treasure at the base of the mayacamas mountain range is perfectly suited to produce ultra premium grapes. Rawson Kelham has farmed this sixty-acre vineyard on Dwyer Road for thirty-five years. The winery, founded in 1998 by Susanna Kelham and her two sons Ron and Hamilton Nicholsen, utilizes these ultra premium grapes to produce world class Cabernets.
From the winemaker:
The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon is the embidiment of Napa Valley. The wine uses a 10 percent blend of Merlot to lean harsh tannin and express layers of complex flavors. This wine shows aromas of current, blackberry, mocha and earth. The wine has a tight focus through a long, satisfying finish, where tannins are rich and intense. Having many supple and harmonious complexities, this wine is a prime candidate for mid to long-term cellaring.
