This item is 1 bottle of 2006 Aquitania "Lazuli" Cabernet Sauvignon.
Winemaker notes:
"An intense ruby red color. Very elegant and complex nose, which presents aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, with notes of dried fruits like figs and prunes that blend with notes of mocha and tobacco. The palate is harmonious and complex, very elegant, with a pleasant combination of fruits and spices. With soft, round tannins, this wine has great structure and a lingering finish."
94 points Wine & Spirits
"Closing in on ten years of age, this wine is beginning to show the complexity of classic Cabernets grown in Macul, one of the highest districts in the Alto Maipo, close to Santiago. Age has amplified the herb scents, offering their fresh notes while the fruit flavors remain backstage, behind tannins that still feel youthful and energetic, giving the wine its profound depths. An elegant Alto Maipo Cabernet."
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2006 Lazuli is a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the best plots with deep soils. It has a classic, developed bouquet of paprika, leather, smoked meat, cassis with certain brightness and sweet spices, with complexity and a polished palate with soft tannins and a silky texture, good acidity and a juicy, supple finish. The winery keeps the bottles and sells the wine when they consider the wine is ready for drinking."
