Enjoy a long weekend away.  Located just minutes from Deep Creek Lake (swimming, fishing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, and on and on) and WISP ski resort, which offers a wide variety of summer activities including golf, mountain coasters, mountain top white water rafting and many other outdoors opportunities.  Live river white water rafting is available within 45 minutes - see the Laurel Highlands auction item!  Take a short trip (45 minutes) to the spa at Nemacolin Woodlands (WISP also has a spa).  Explore downtown Oakland Md. Or take a long walk in the woods (see photo 3)

Located 165 miles from the Washington DC area, the home can be reached in 2 1/2 hours (non rush hour of course).  It is on the east side of Deep Creek Lake, approximately 3 miles from the lake.

Directly accessed from a well maintained county road, but offering quiet and seclusion. 

The house does not have cable/satellite TV or internet access (on purpose), but local coffee shops will let you get your internet fix.  A TV/DVD player are available for movie night.
