Description
“Family Tree” by Room 13
In our family, a tree has always been a symbol for life. Often times the planting of trees are used to mark new beginnings or special occasions. We are reminded of the cycle of life as the tree changes seasonally. A tree is also used to show family history and the lineage of a namesake. Throughout our lives, we become a part of many different families. We have our school family or our work family. Sometimes, these are people that we spend more of our day with than our own blood.
As parents we pause and think of the different “families” that our children will be a part of as they grew up, only one day to create their own. This tree represents the Montessori family that our children are a part of and this “Family Tree” is a snapshot of that. Comprised of leaves made by the handprints of each child in Room 13 and marked with their initials, this tree will forever represent their time here at this school.
Made by Christian and Leisa Kanienberg (Vivien’s parents)
This gift is one-of-a-kind. Beautifully welded metal tree with leaves that are traced from the children's hands.
Priceless!
