Description

But I Only Like White Wine Collection

Gilbert Picq Chablis Vosgros 2012, Vosgros, Chablis, Burgundy, France

International Wine Cellar 93:

Bright yellow. Inviting, almost austere aromas of candied lime peel, mint and minerals; about as different from the Vaucoupin as another Chablis could be. Then taut and dry on the palate, with salty, mineral-driven flavors of oyster shell, flint and crushed rock. There's something almost riesling-like about this wonderfully brisk wine. Finishes fine-grained and very long, with superb tension and lift.

Copain Tous Ensemble Chardonnay 2012, Santa Rita, Central Coast, California, USA

Cellar Tracker 88:

Nice aromas of lemon, quince, minerals, and chalk. The palate shows off a med bodied wine with very nice med/med+ acidity. Flavors echo from the nose, including lemon drops, rocks, green apple, and a tense chalkiness. The med length finish is puckering and fresh, showing off lemon and apple fruit with minerality. This is a very good quality wine that is drinking beautifully now, but will continue to do so through 2017 or so.

Domaine des Heritiers du Comte Lafon Vire-Clesse 2010, Macon Villages, Maconnais, Burgundy, France

Cellar Tracker 91:

Light gold. Expressive nose with a good fruity aroma, clean acidity, deftly done. Fullish body for a Maconnais crisp lemon with light cream, with almost a tannic backdrop. Nice medium/long finish showing more of the pleasing tartness.

Hartford Family Winery Chardonnay Four Hearts 2012, Sonoma, North Coast, California, USA

Wine Advocate 91-93, Vinous 91:

Pale gold. Deeply pitched pit and orchard fruit scents are enlivened by smoky mineral and orange zest qualities and pick up a floral nuance with air. Sappy and slow to open, offering densely packed pear and nectarine flavors and a hint of ginger. Finishes long and pure, with resonating minerality and lingering honeysuckle and citrus pith notes

Bernard Defaix Chablis Cote de Lechet  2010, Cote de Lechet, Chablis, Burgundy, France

The Burghound 90-93:

A reserved and elegant nose shyly suggests aromas of mineral reduction, citrus and tidal pool nuances that introduce beautifully detailed and seductively rich flavors that also enjoy plenty of dry extract that adds a sense of volume to the bone dry and highly persistent finish. This is really a lovely effort. -Allen Meadows

Domaine Huët Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec 2007, Vouvray, Touraine, Loire Valley, France

Wine Enthusiast 94:

The Clos du Bourg vineyard has produced a concentrated wine, definitely dry, but with richness rounding it out magnificently. The texture is tight, flavors of ripe apples and cream surrounded by dense, complex mineral, almond and spice. Age for at least 7–10 years.
