Description

Upperline School of Code is dedicated to building fun, rigorous and collaborative programming classes for high school students. We run workshops, after-school classes, and summer programs throughout New York City to teach students how to code. Our students build web applications using the same tools that professionals are using throughout the tech industry (Ruby, HTML, CSS, SQL, Javascript, iOS development).

We push our students to build real apps, learn coding best-practices, and get exposure to the technology sector through guest speakers and company visits. Our two-week summer classes are running from June through August in New York City and Greenwich, CT.

The winner of this item will receive a spot in their choice of Upperline's two-week summer coding immersion courses (Mon.-Fri., 9AM-3PM), which include:

Introduction to Software Engineering

Learn the fundamentals of software development in Ruby, and create your first web app from the ground up. Students build web applications using a combination of Ruby, Sinatra MVC, HTML and CSS.

Start Dates: 6/20, 7/11, 8/8

Introduction to iOS Development with Swift

Build your first iOS application using Apple's Swift language, which is quickly being adopted by professional developers and companies around the world. We'll learn to use Xcode - Apple's development environment - and then jump in to the fundamentals of programming for iOS in Swift to build simple but powerful applications.

Start Date: 7/25
