About the Salon

Mario Badescu was a Romanian-born chemist and cosmetologist with a vision. Not one to follow the crowd, he did extensive research in his laboratory and began creating his own line of botanically based skincare products. He brought his formulations to Manhattan in 1967 and soon built an elite following, expanding to the present 36-room salon facility. Many loyal clients are A-list celebrities.
