Chef Freddy van Breugel was born in Holland in 1967. He gained his Culinary Arts Certificate at the world renowned, Higher Technical Institute in Bruges, Belgium from 1982 to 1988. Following his training, he apprenticed in various fine-dining establishments throughout Europe.

After 6 years in the restaurant industry, Chef Freddy decided to strike his own path as a private chef; it is here that he hit his stride. His unique combination of culinary talent, gift for hospitality and flair for the dramatic made him an easy fit in the jet-set service industry. Through his work, Chef Freddy was afforded the opportunity to travel the world and entertain the rich and famous. 

Through his meticulous production of some of the island's grandest weddings, most spectacular events and most lavish dinner parties, Chef Freddy had branded himself as a household name amongst his elite clientele.
