Healthy bodies means healthy minds. 

LCIS is establishing a wellness initiative to promote healthy lifestyles and a healthy environment to the children we love.  

The initiative will have an education component with ongoing opportunities for students, parents and staff to learn more about health and wellness, healthy body image and how to get the nutrition our children need to perform well in the classroom and on the field. 

It will support the school’s Eco-Club initiatives for a healthy Green School such as plastic reduction, organic gardening and use of healthier natural cleaning products. 

With your support, we can also provide access to a new purified drinking water system. 

But most importantly, to provide food that better supports the development of our children and needs of our community, we need to build a new kitchen facility. 

Exciting plans are already underway including getting input through student and parent surveys and a parent academy, and creating an RFP for new vendors. World renown architects Cooper Robertson are partnering with us to design a kitchen informed by our values and choices that families want.

In the next phase of development of our campus, we plan to connect this facility to the new Multipurpose Building. We need your support to begin to make the changes we need to improve the facilities.

We ask for your support for our children and our school. Quality food service is essential to better educational and sports performance. We don’t have any way to provide the range of nutritional options that parents and children want right now. 

The expanded facility and professional grade equipment will help us provide more choices appropriate to a range of ages.  More storage space will allow for a wider range of fruits and vegetables including smoothies and salad bar.  More prep space will allow for less processed foods and allow us to serve a range of tasty foods with the nutrients needed to help our children grown and learn.  

We now need your support for your children.  The capital improvements are beyond what we can achieve with tuition dollars.  We need your support for the Annual Fund to help us make this significant difference.  Your gifts will be immediately implemented to support summer works including the construction of the new kitchen facility and installation of the new water system.
