The 2010 vintage in Bordeaux is one of historic proportions and the 2010 Chateau de Pitray really is a case in point to the greatness of this vintage. Chateau de Pitray is primarily a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Nose of black fruit, plum, cigar box, cedar, and vanilla with dusty tannins, plums, cedar, and other dark berry fruits on the palate, followed by a nice long finish. Drink now or over the next 2-4 years.
