This doll is from The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and represents "Gifts from the Garden."  During the 18th century, colonists relished the perennial pleasure of gardening.  At the time of the American Revolution, Williamsburg boasted some of the best examples of formal gardens in the colonies.
