Description
A Train Lover's Dream, Every Child's Delight
Built for the 1915 Pan Pacific Exposition in San Francisco this little treasure is hidden away in Swanton, three miles north of Davenport, where It is operated by volunteers. It is only accessible to the public three or 4 times a year and this is your chance to enjoy a Santa Maria BBQ and train rides on its 1.5 mile track along Scott Creek. The train was saved and lovingly reassembled plus the right-of-way and bridge built by Al Smith or Orchard Hardware. Upon his death it and the 3,000 acre property it sits on were bequeathed to his alma matar Cal Poly.
